For the past several years Converse has been the "must have" everyday  shoe for teens. That's all about to change. You know what I'm talking about--I'm talking about Boat Shoes. My uncle used to have a pair of these lace up moccasin-like slip-ons. He wore them in the back yard and out on the dock. I figured that was all well and fine but I must confess my shock the first time I saw kids wearing them. Maybe Boat shoes were once an adult style loafer but now they are anything but that. Did I mention boat shoes are perfect for guys too? boat shoes are stolen from their wardrobe! Why is that not surprising? Boat shoes are the must have casual shoe for all ages this spring. Put A Scarf On It! The Circle Scarf

This winter many people of both genders are keeping their necks extra cozy with a variety of  colorful and textured scarfs. Having a scarf or two on hand this season was a no brainer. Last year scarfs were a hot item and they are this winter again. However, if you wear a scarf often you realize one thing. Scarfs can be annoying. They get in the way. They fall down. They make you itch and sweat. They are nearly impossible to eat in. Certainly scarfs are nice. I was beginning to enjoy this seasonal replacement for the necklace but there must be something better. Then I found the "Snood."

 If you are tired of  having a stray end of your fashion scarf fall in your way, or are looking for something a bit different, consider a Snood. Their uses and forms have changed some over the years but they are still a  great way to keep cozy.  Circle scarfs are generally draped around the neck like a necklace, not wrapped around the neck like a scarf, but can be pulled over the head and hair like a hood. Try a medium weight wool circle scarf in a color complementary to the color of your jacket or trench coat for a put together look on the go. A word to the wise: Scarfs are bulky. If you feel like your scarf looks to big, it probably is. Be ware of choosing a overly fringed scarf or one that you will loop abound your neck twice as these types of scarfs can be overpowering. Don't get lost behind your scarf! Those with petite frames need be particularly careful as do those with shorter necks and round face shapes because heavy eternity scarfs emphasize these features. If you are petiet pick a medium or lightweight scarf that lands on your mid torso and aviod extra long eternity scarfs that fall below the hips. If you have a short neck the same rule applies. If your face is round pick the scarf that will elongate you the most. A medium loopsize medium weight eternity scarf is ideal for all shapes.
